MDOT Freighthouse Bid Now Open until February 5th

In 2009, the City of Ypsilanti was awarded a MDOT TEA grant for $500,000 to help with the renovation of the Historic Ypsilanti Freighthouse.  This project is now open for bidding up until February 5, 2010.  Please check the MDOT bidding website for updates on questions and addenda for the project.  (website:  https://mdotwas1.mdot.state.mi.us/public/eprop/login/index.cfm).  All bidding MUST BE DONE THROUGH THE MDOT BIDDING SYSTEM.

The link will take you to the site where the electronic versions of the proposal and plan are. If you sign up as a new user you will be able to get into the site if you haven't done this before.  Once you get logged in, select the February 05, 2010 letting on the left side of the page and then select item 58 from the drop down menu in the center of the top of the page.

This project is being bid through MDOT, not the City of Ypsilanti.  If you have any questions please contact Ian Weibel, MDOT Enhancement Program Specialist, via email or phone (517-335-6779).

The Freighthouse will be open for viewing on January 27, 2010 at 10AM.  You may not ask questions of the staff members present at that time.  All questions must be sent to Ian Weibel at MDOT.
